Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of phacoemulsification with posterior chamber intraocular lens(IOL) implantation on primany angle-closure glaucoma(ACG) and cataract. Methods Phacoemulsification with IOL implantation performed on 138 eyes with ACG and cataract whose angle of anterior chamber closed less than 180° scope.The mean follow-up was 6~12 months,the main outcome measure were pre-and post-operative visual acuity(VA),intraocular pressure and central anterior chamber depth. Results Intraocular pressure after operation on 138 eyes was controlled bellowed 21.0 mmHg.It had significant difference in anterior chamber depth between pre-and post-operation. Conclusion Phacoemulsification with IOL implantation is effective for patient with ACG and cataract.
