Abstract
Objective To analyse the clinical value of digital subtraction angiography(DSA) in patient with spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Methods 136 patients diagnosed as SAH by CT,lumbar puncture and clinical manifestation underwent DSA examination. The patients who had the negative result of DSA for the first time were examined again. Results DSA examination showed negative in 38 cases(27.9%) and positive in 98 cases(72.1%).Of the positive cases,72(73.5%) had intracranial aneurysm, 23(23.5%) had vascular malformation,3 had arteritis. The major causes of spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage were intracranial aneurysm and vascular malformation. Conclusion DSA is a reliable method for detecting the cause of SAH and supplying anatomic information for endovascular embolism therapy and surgery.
