A Deep Analysis of the Urbanization of Population in China

The process of the world economic development is just the process of industrialization and urbanization. There is certain correlation between economic development and urbanization. The conclusion made in the paper after analyzing the statistical materials demonstrates that the urbanization level in China is low compared with its economic level, which is mainly because the existence of the employed rural population in the cities has not been included in the statistics. It cannot show the actual urbanization of population in China until this part of recessive population is included in the urban population in the true sense of the term. The article holds that urbanization of population should not be restricted with policy, instead it should be matched with corresponding reform and adjusted to the function of economic law in order to reach the urbanization level that really conforms to the economic and social development.
