Abstract
This paper introduces a scalable statistical admission control and resource reservation scheme into the multicast environment of the differentiated services(DiffServ) networks to provide quality of service guarantee for the multicast members. The approach allows a multicast user submit the quality of service requirements on demand and join or leave the multicast tree dynamically. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated by NS-2.
