Study on the Effect of Telmisartan on Differentiation Function of Endothelial Cells of Patients with Heart Failure in Emergency Department

Objective To investigate the effect of telmisartan on differentiation function of endothelial cells of patients with heart failure in emergency department.Methods A total of 92 cases with heart failure amitted in Department of Emergency,Dongfeng Hospital Affiliated to Hubei Medical College from Aug.2011 to Nov.2013 were equally divided into observation group and control group by random drawing,with 46 cases in each group.All the patients were given basic treatment,besides,patients in the control group received carvedilol oral treatment,3.125-12.5 mg daily; and patients in the observation group were giventelmisartan oral treatment,40-80 mg for once daily; the observation period were 3 months for both groups.Results The overall response rate was 97.8% in the observation group,and 84.8% in the control group,the difference was significant between the two groups(P 0.05).The early mitral maximum flow rate(E) values after treatment in both groups were increased significantly,while the maximum late diastolic mitral blood flow(A)values were decreased,the differences between those before treatment and after treatment were statistically significant(P 0.01),and such values after treatment had statistically significant differences between the two groups(P 0.01).After treatment,levels of plasma endothelin,plasma renin activity and angiotensin Ⅱwere decreased significantly in both groups(P 0.01),while such values had statistically significant differences between the two groups(P 0.01).After treatment,the serum concentrations of magnesium ions in the observation group showed a significant increasing trend,the difference between that before treatment and after treatment was statistically significant,meanwhile,the difference of such concentration between the two groups after treatment was also statistically significant(P 0.01).Conclusion Telmisartan can improve the prognosis and heart function of patients with heart failure in emergency department,its may play a role in improving the function of endothelial cells and potassium ion channels in vivo.
