Abstract
There are four basic poetic styles ——life lyric, political lyric, epopee and being lyric from 1950's to 1970's.Generally speaking, these styles reflected the writing fashion of poetry of the past years since 1949.Those poets as the representative of the above-mentioned styles, WEN Jie, LI Ji, LI Ying, GUO Xiao-chuan, HE Jing-zhi, MU Dan and SHI Zhi, had respectively shaped their writing characteristics concerning content and form of poetry. On the whole, the aesthetics fashion of poetry of this epoch is consistent. In summary, the contemporary poetry had exhibited the actual living state and feeling of ordinary people of New China, and its artistic quality had turned to be simplex, perspicuous, gorgeous and impassioned. As a result, Carol and Drum-song had become the prevailing poetic style of this stage.
