Abstract
Lu Ji puts forward the theory of leading to gorgeous form after broke through the theory of poetry expressing ideals and aspirations which was the traditional literary concept of Confucianism. This theory, which summarized the development of art towards lyric and grace since the Wei and Jin Dynasties, is a new literary connect implying a profound sense of standard of aesthetic evaluation. Therefore, it has a positive significance in the history of the development of Chinese literature. On the other hand, it exerts certain influence on the superficial inflated style of writing of the Southern Dynasties.
