Treatment on chronic prostatitis with traditional Chinese therapy:A report on 100 cases

Abstract

Objectives:To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of chronic prostatitis.Methods:Fifty cases were treated by the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine(group A),50 cases were treated by western medicine(group B).The total scores of TCM symptoms were compared between 2 groups before and after the treatments.The treatments lasted for 4 weeks.Results:The total scores of TCM symptoms of 2 groups presented significant statistical difference(P0.05),group A’s score being higher than Group B’s.The total effeciency was 92% in group A,and 84% in group B,the differences between group A and group B being significant.Conclusion:The combination of traditional Chinese medicine Qianlieqingretongyu tang with western medicine can greatly improve on pain,urination symptoms and quaulity of life.
