Discussion on the Literary Outlook of the Sui Dynasty

As far as its basic tendency is concerned,the literary outlook of the Sui Dynasty goes to the opposite extreme in order to put right the writing style of the Sounthern Qi Dynasty and the Liang Dynasty,but,owing to overcorrecting,it has an overwhelming flavour of utilitarianism.On the other hand,there is no lack of real knowledge and deep insight,reflecting the features the transition period from the Southern Dynasties to the early Tang Dynasty.
