On Cultural Translation

The complexity of translation and the openness of translation theory study determine the necessity of cultural translation theory. Cultural translation which synthesizes culturology, cross-cultural communication theory and cultural linguistics is a kind of translation study at a new angle. The study of its main two problems of translation in culture and culture in translation gives prominence to the study on translator and cultural character of the translated text.
