Abstract
The Lower Yellow River is typical wandering reach.Abnormal river pattern such as transverse river,inclining river,etc.are prone to be formed.It is proved from theory and practice that the engineering technology of curving cut-off is an effective measure to regulate the abnormal river pattern,and to decrease the rate of river works in danger in the Lower Yellow River. Engineering methods and measures to curve cut-off in the reach from Dagong to Wang'an are mainly introduced in order to supply reference for abnormal river pattern training.
