Research on dynamic bandwidth allocation scheme based on QoS for GPON

Abstract

In order to realize the fairness and reduce the transmission delay in GPON, a new dynamic bandwidth allocation(DBA) scheme-two level DBA scheme based on QoS was proposed based on the researching of TC frame and the method of dynamic bandwidth allocation in ITU-T G.984.3. Performance analysis proves that the new algorithm will realize the fairness for both different ONUs and services, at the same time, it will significant reduce the delay of the low level services.
