The application of 71 cases natural cycle in vitro fertilization and embryo transfe

Objective:To examine the feasibility of natural cycle in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET) in poor responders and the patients infertility with ovarian tumor.Methods:The results of in-vitro fertilization in natural cycles from the February 2007 to the November 2008 in 71 infertility patients at the reproductive medicine center in Zhu Hai were analyzed.Results:65 poor responders underwent 78 unstimulated cycles.The percentage of successful oocyte retrievals,fecundation and embryo transfers per attempted oocyte retrieval was 55.1%,58.1% and 21.8% respectively.A total of 5 clinical pregnancies were obtained(29.4% per transfer),of which 3 had delivered and 2 aborted(11.7% per transfer).A total of 7 unstimulated cycles were undergone in 6 infertility patients with ovarian tumors.In 7 natural cycles,6 of the cycles retrieved the oocytes successfully.The percentage of successful oocyte retrievals,fecundation and embryo transfers per attempted oocyte retrieval was 85.6%,100% and 57.1% respectively.Two of clinical pregnancies had delivered.The percentage of clinical pregnancies was 50%.Conclusion:Natural-cycle IVF treatment is an easy and effective method for poor responder patients.And the patients can still get pregnancies by this way who might have high dangerous in using ovulation-inducing drugs
