Abstract

Objective To discuss the use of sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of shallow anterior chamber after filtering surgery of glaucoma. Methods 51 of 154 cases occured shallow anterior chamber after the trabeculectomy surgery.21 of 51 cases were treated by injecting air into anterior chambers.23 of 51 cases were treated by injecting NAHA into anterior chambers.Observed the effect and the rate of success and complications after operation. Results The rate of success after operation that injecting air was 82.61% and that injecting NAHA was(100.00%).There was significant difference between two groups((P0.01)).The rate of hemorrhage and inflammation in injecting air group was 26.8% and 82.61%,that of the injecting NAHA group was 3.85%and 15.39%.There was significant difference between two groups((P0.01)).Conclusion The use of sodium hyaluronate in shallow anterior chamber after the trabeculectomy surgery can decrease the complication and increase the successful rate.
