Abstract

BACKGROUNDTo observe the significance of detection of the ureaplasma urealyticum(UU) culture over 72h on diagnosis of nongonococcal urethriti.CASE REPORTSThe detection of UU was performed for 172 cases of nongonococcal urethritis, and the isolated culture method was used.Within 72h,38 cases(22.1%) were suffered UU infection, and on 72~120h,9 cases(5.2%) were suffered.DISCUSSIONThe positive results can be obtained in the majority cases on 24~48h,but the examination over 72h is suitable for the preparation which obtained negative results on 24~48h.
