Analysis on 80 Cases with Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type Treated with the Combined Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of the combined therapy for cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.Methods 236 cases were randomly divided into treatment and control groups.The control group consisted of three subgroups,each of which had 52 cases and were treated with Chinese medicine,traction therapy or massage respectively.The treatment group of 80 cases were administered with the combined therapy.The therapeutic effects were observed after the 14-day treatment.Results In the treatment group,the total effective rate was 91.25% while the rate in the the subgroups treated with Chinese medicine,traction therapy or massage was 84.62%,75.00% and 63.46% respectively.Significant differences existed between the treatment group and each of the three subgroups in the control group(p0.01).Conclusion The therapeutic effect of the combined therapy consisting of Chinese crude drug therapy,traction therapy or massage is considered better than any of the single therapies in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.
