Abstract

Objective Investigate and analyze of the relationship between unpaid blood donors Anti-HCV testing results and the ALT value. Methods Detected samples 20847 for anti-HCV and ALT from March of 2009 to February of 2010 from Handan blood donors.Using SPSS 13.0 to do statistical analysis on the numbers of Anti-HCV positive and abnormal raised ALT negative blood donors. Results In 20847 blood donors,anti-HCV positive were 127 cases, including 23 cases of ALT 40 EU/L.Anti-HCV negative 20720 blood donors, including 2019 ALT 40 EU/L.After statistics processing, statistical significance was found(χ2= 9.999,P 0.05).Conclusions Unpaid blood donation anti-HCV positive with abnormal ALT significantly more than the anti-HCV negative, testing blood ALT values are beneficial determine the safety for donors ' blood.
