Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of the subtotal retina cryocautery combined with ciliary body cryocautery for the neovascular glaucoma in primary hospital. Methods The clinical data of 13 cases of neovascular glaucoma treated by the retina cryocautery combined with ciliary body cryocautery were analyzed prospectively. Results The follow up was 6 months to 1 year.13 cases were controlled from 10 mm Hg to 21 mm Hg,the effective rate of the treatment 76.92%.The main complications were cornea edema, bulbar conjunctiva edema, fibrinous exudation in anterior chamber, ocular hypotension, etc. Conclusion The retina cryocautery combined with ciliary body cryocautery against neovascular glaucoma is an effective treatment methods for the neovascular glaucoma in primary hospital.
