GI Product innovation is a process involving the development of new GI product or the improvement of existing product in form,function and service.GI product innovation is a very important issue in GI protection.The main problem in GI product innovation in China is the lack of innovation ability and motivation of enterprises.To advance GI product innovation,the capability of enterprises should be improved,and the government must increase business policy support and financial investment,and with the help of trade organization,to improve the protection of intellectual property rights and to promote the development of industrial clusters,etc.
