Relationship between interleukin-1 receptor I type in peripheral blood of rheumatoid arthritis patients

Abstract

Objective To study the interleukin-1 receptor I type(IL-1RI) level of peripheral blood of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) patients.Methods IL-1RI was detected in 94 patients(47 active stage patients and 47 non-active stage patients) with rheumatoid arthritis,40 patients(20 active stage patients and 20 non-active stage patients) with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),20 acute upper respiratory tract infection patients(AURTI) and 20 healthy controls by using enzyme linked immuno-sorbent assay method.Results There were significant differences in IL-1RI level among all groups using ANOVA analysis(P0.001).There was significant difference in IL-1RI level between RA group and other groups(P0.001),but there was no significant difference among other groups(P0.05).There was difference in IL-1RI level among active RA group,non-active RA group and other groups(P0.05),but there was no significant difference among other groups(P0.05).Conclusion IL-1RI level in peripheral blood was associated with rheumatoid arthritis and may be used as maker for diagnosis and treatment of RA.
