Experiments on Control of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) with Admire, Imidacloprid, Aldicarb, and Omethoate

Abstract

Laboratory and field experiments on control of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) with Admire, Imidacloprid, Aldicarb and Omethoate were conducted. The results showed that 1) the corrected mortality of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) by applying the four pesticides in the laboratory were 95.91%, 94.35%, 89.67% and 85.42%, respectively; 2) by hole applying, the control effects of Admire 70 WG at rates of 75g, 150g, and 225g per ha were 74%- 84.86% , 95%-96.15%, and 98.27%-98.6%, respectively, and Aldicarb at rates of 15000g per ha was 70.81 %-89.9%; 3) by foliar spraying, the control effects of Admire 70WG at rates 30g, 60g and 90g per ha were 76.45%-99.52%, 84%-99.95%, 92.40%-99.98%, respectively, and one 3000th dilution of Imidacloprid and one 1000th dilution of Omethoate were 89.9%-99.78% and 44.65%-83.78%, respectively. The variance analysis indicated that there were extremely significant differences among control effects of the four pesticides.
