General Zhang Xue-liang and Civil War in Central China

During the Civil War in Central China in May 1930,General Zhang Xue-liang,in the initial stage,took wise actions of defending territory and appeasing people,tightly upholding the neutrality.Later,under the guidance of longing for peace and unity at home and resisting the foreign aggression,and under Chiang Kai-shek's enticement,he led the army entering Shanhaiguan to help Chiang calm down the revolts of all factions,realize temporarily the peace and unity.However,General Zhang Xue-liang was controlled by Chiang Kai-shek,causing the defense in the northeast void,thus opened the door for Japanese militarists to expand the continental policies.
