Abstract
Allylsucrose was prepared by the reaction of sucrose with allyl chloride as the etherification agent in the presence of NaOH as an activating agent. The optimum procedure is as follow. With n(allyl chloride)∶n(sucrose)∶n(NaOH)=10∶1∶10,the pretreatment proceeds at 60 ℃ for 7 h,and the etherification reaction is carried out at 50 ℃ for 6 h.DS of the allylsucrose calculated by elementary analysis was 6.65,and the yield reached 91%.The product was characterized by FTIR and MS.The preparation cost was decreased greatly.
