The effect of a hook in vitrectomy-lensectomy for dislocation of lens

Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of a new hook in the management of the dislocated lens in vitreous cavity by vitrectomy-lensectomy and intraocular lens implantation.Methods 7 patients(7 eyes) with dislocation of lens were treated by using a new type of hook to hook the dislocated lens in vitrectomy-lensectomy combined intraocular lens implantation.The effect and the complication were observed.Results All cases were successfully managed and the visual acuity was improved.After a follow-up period of 1-3 months,there were no severe complications.Conclusions The method of using a new type of hook in vitrectomy-lensectomy to treat the dislocation of lens is safe and effective.
