Abstract
This study,by choice and synthesis of metal catalysts,has made some progress in the synthesis of glyoxalic acid by air oxidation.The optimum condition of synthesis were: percentage conversion of glyoxal was 85.1%,yield of Glyoxylic acid was 60.2% and selectivity of Glyoxylic acid was 70.7%;under pH 1~2,reaction temperature 43 ℃ and reaction time 20 h.
