Abstract

Glyoxylic acid was satisfyingly synthesiaed by controlling oxidation of glyoxal with oxygen and using substituti on of multifunctional material as catalyst. Percentage conversion of glyoxal is ≥98%,yield of glyoxylic acid 93%. The method using new catalyst avoids producing salts. The optimun condition of synthesis follow:pH of medium 1, w(OHCCHO)≥16%,total pressure of oxygen and other gas 0 12MPa,reaction temperature 40~60?℃ and reacting time 2~3h.
