Abstract
There are many factors that influence the selection of dam site and axis of Soufengying Hydropower Station. Among them more important ones are engineering geological condition, physical geological, phenomenon, anti-seepage curtain and etc. The layout of discharge structure and construction schedule are main factors that influence the selection of dam type. Deeply investigated hydraulic and engineering geology and compared design, the final selection is middle axis of the dam site and rolled compaction concrete (RCC) gravity dam.
