A probe to the Causes of Strengthening Setting up Taozhou Prefecture in the Early Ming Dynasty

Taozhou Prefecture is the key place on the way from inner land to Tibet.It has been the strategic attention for monarchs of every dynasties.In the early Ming dynasty,the Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang realized the importance that Taozhou Prefecture took as the portal to Tibet.He conducted a policy of military controlled and economically comforted depending on the situation of national war.Tao Prefecture to implement policies for the detention of Surimi.During the 11th to 12th year of Hongwu,the Taozhou Prefecture was attacked in large-scale by the Ming Dynasty.After this military operation,Taozhou Prefecture were badly damaged and resulted in the direct control under Ming rulers.Ming rulers hence strengthened military defence,and a Northwest defense system was established,taking the places of He,Huang,Tao,and Min as strategic strongholds.
