Abstract
Genetic diversity analysis and identification of Xincai 1, Xincai 2 and 71 differentiating germplasm lines from colored cotton by the random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) techniques were reported. A total of 240 arbitrary primers were screened using RAPD techniques with the genomic DNA of genetic similarity in the 73 germplasm lines and finally 10 primers which could produce steady polymorphism were obtained. Cluster analysis by the unweighted pair group method of arithmetic (UPGMA) means showed that 73 varieties could be divided into 7 groups, genetic relationships of several varieties were related to their pedigree of the parents and most of the varieties are limited on genetic base.
