Abstract
Objective To discuss the significance of AEEG for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of kids epilepsy (EP) and pseudoseizure. Methods 103 Cases EP confirmed in clinic and 47 cases suspicious EP were made 24 hours monitoring of AEEG. Results Of 150 cases, the total abnormal rate of EEG was 68.6 %. In epilepsy group, the abnormal rate was 77.7 %, and the rate of epileptiform discharge was 70.9 %; and the relative rates were 40.4 % and 19.1 % respetively in suspicious group. Both the abnormal rate and epileptiform discharge had remarkable difference (P0.001) between two groups. Conclusion AEEG plays an important role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis for children epilepsy and pseudoseizure.
