A Comparative Study on the Legal Form of Financial Support for Agricultural Insurance

The agricultural insurance needs financial support from the government which should be regulated by the agricultural insurance law.The legal forms include providing the capitals for stated-owned agricultural insurance enterprise and other agricultural insurance organizations;providing financial subsidies for policyholders and insurance organizations which operate agricultural insurance;offering the agricultural insurance operation organizations or local governments agricultural reinsurance;providing the capitals for the agricultural insurance fund;and other financial supports.In China,the forms of financial support for agricultural insurance are not enough,and the support level and loudness are low.China should establish laws to regulate the above forms of financial support,especially the Agricultural Insurance Law.
