Abstract
Seeds of wheat(Triticum estivum L.)CV. nongda 139 two kinds of water content 11.8% and 6. 7% both had about 70% germination percentage after storage at 0-5℃ for about 12 years. There is no significant difference of germination energy caused by different water content of seeds. The stored wheat seeds were aged by means of artificial aging at 40℃ RH 100%. The germination energy of aged wheat seeds with two different water content declined slightly at the beginning of aging. After five-day aging, the germination energy, as well as germination percentage of aged seeds with W. C. 11. 8% was significant higher than that of aged seeds with W. C. 6. 7% respectively. The results indicated that vigor of wheat seeds with W. C. 11. 8% was stronger than that of seeds with W. C. 6. 7%, after storage at 0-5℃ for about 12 years.
