Preparation of Poly(Vinyl Alcohol)/Polyacrylate Hydrogel Polymer Electrolyte

A new hydrogel polymer poly(vinyl alcohol)/polyacrylate was prepared using acrylic acid,poly(vinyl alcohol) and N,N-methylenebisacrylamide as raw materials by the solution polymerization.A hydrogel polymer electrolyte was gotten by mixing it with 6mol/L KOH solution with the swelling ratio up to 173% and the conductivity 567.3ms·cm-1 at the room temperature.Conduction mechanism of the hydrogel polymer electrolyte and the relationship between the swelling ratio and the conductivity were also discussed in the paper.
