The Path Choice for Community Construction in the New Era——From the Perspective of Social Capital

Community Construction is a systematic project , which involves the politics , economy , culture , geographic environment and so on. Since 2000 , when Ministry of Civil Affairs put forward that City Community Construction can be promoted nationwide , the Community Construction practice in China has experienced 12 years with great achievements. However , with in-depth advance of industrialization , marketization , informatization and urbanization , traditional ideas and practices of Community Construction have been in trouble. With the analysis tool of Social Capital Theory , this article discusses the similarities among Community , Community Construction and Social Capital. On the basis of the analysis of problems in Community Construction , this article believes that Cultivating Social Capital actively is the path choice for Community Construction in the new era.
