Phacoemulsification and posterior chamber lens implantation in complicated cataract with uveitis

Abstract
Objective To eveluate the outcomes of phacoemulsification and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation into the capsular bag in patients with uveitis.Methods 28 cases (32 eyes) with uveitis who underwent phacoemulsification and posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation were reported.The postoperative complications and visual acuity were analysed.Results The visual acuity improved in 31 eyes.The most common complication was posterior capsule opacification.Conclusion Phacoemulsification with posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation is safe in patients with uveitis.
