Abstract

The present paper reports the fertilization and development of embryo and endosperm of Cercis chinensis Bge.The fertilization is porogamous. The triple fusion takes place prior to syngamy. Endosperm is of the nuclear type. The first division of zygote is transverse. The embryogenesis conforms to Soueges' AI, which corresponds to Onagrad type of Johansen.
