Abstract
The fertilization and development of embryo and endosperm of the endangered species Helianthemum songaricum are reported. Before fertilization, one of the synergids has degenerated.Fusion of one sperm with polar nucleus is faster than that of one sperm with egg nucleus. The development of endosperm is of the nuclear type.Endosperm nuclei form cells since the later stage of the globular embryo. The mature seeds has no endosperm. The development of embryo is of the Onagrad type. The suspensor consists of vertical cells and begins to degenerate after late globular stage. The embryo develope from proembryo, heart shaped embryo, dicotyledenous to mature embryo. This paper discuss the relativity between the development of embryo and ecological environment.
