The Effects of Huatanjieyutang Combined with Insulin in the Treatment on Type 2 Diabetes

Objective:To investigate the effects of treatment with Huatanjieyutang combined with insulin on type 2 diabetic patients with unsatisfied plasma glucose .Methods:43 cases of type 2 diabetic patients with FPG≥11mmol/L,2hPG≥15mmol/L were randomly divided into two groups :control group only treated with insulin (I),and (I+H) group with Huatanjieyutang and insulin in 24 weeks.Plasma glucose ,serum HbA 1C ,c-peptide,fasting insulin,Homa-IR and lipid levels were observed .Results:When compared with plasma glucose and HbA 1C before and after treatment ,significant difference was shown in these two groups(P0.05).I+H group could reduce plasma glucose,c-peptide,lipid levels and insulin dosage more significantly than control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Huatanjieyutang can decrease plasma glucose,HbA 1C ,lipid levels and dosage of insulin ,increase insulin sensitivity ,improve insulin resistance.
