Abstract

ISSR marker was used to analyze genetic diversities among 78 mango germplasm.12 primers selected from 100 ISSR-primers were used for amplification and a total of 148 DNA bands were obtained, including 142 polymorphic bands. The percent of polymorphic is 95.95%.The result showed that the cluster analysis based on ISSR data classified the mango germplasm into 5 major groups. In these groups, most of the samples(87.34%) were gathered in groupⅠ,indicating most of the mango germplasm with close genetic relationship. In this study, all cultivars tested were distinguished from each other and showed ample genetic diversity, indicating that ISSR-PCR was an effective method for cultivar identification of mangoes.
