Efficacy of bisoprolol combine with small dose of hydrochlorothiazide in patients with hypertension

Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of bisoprolol combine with small dose of hydrochlorothiazide in patients with hypertension.Methods:A total of 87 hypertensive patients were randomly divided into observe group(43 cases)and bisoprolol group(43 cases).The observe group was treated with 2.5~5mg/d bisoprolol plus 12.5mg/d hydrochlorothiazide.The blood pressure,heart rate,total cholesterol,triglyceride,blood glucose,electrolyte and electrocardiography were measured before and after treatment.Results:The total effective power of observe group was 92%,and was more than that of bisoprolol group(72%,P0.01).Conclusion:Bisoprolol combine with small dose of hydrochlorothiazide are safe and efficiency for the treatment of hypertensive patient.
