The Curative Effect of Bushen Huoxue Decoction to Stimulate Ovulation in Treating Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Abstract

Objective To research the effect of Bushen Huoxue decoction to stimulate ovulation in treating polycystic ovary syndrome.Methods 120 infertility cases with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) were randomly divided into two equal groups,western medicine group and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)group.Western medicine group was treated with clomifene citrate,while TCM group added Bushen Huoxue decoction on western medicine.The size of follicle,the rate of ovulation,pregnancy,and abortion of two groups treatment were observed.Results The size of follicle in size,ovulation and pregnancy rate of TCM group increased,and abortion rate decreased,which has statistical significance with western medicine group(P﹤0.05).Conclusion Bushen Huoxue decoction can improve the follicle growth,soften ovary envelope to induce ovulation.
