Curative effect of hospital intensive treatment and home treatment for child amblyopia

Objective To analyze the curative effect of hospital intensive treatment and home treatment for children amblyopia,and to explore the better treatment pattern of amblyopia.Methods One hundred and fifteen amblyopia children(220 eyes)were divided into two groups:the hospital intensive treatment group and the home treatment group.The children were given the same teatment method.The treatment of the intensive group was done in hospital,and the contrast group at home.Results The cure rate of hospital intensive treatment group was 49.07% and significantly higher than that of in the contrast group(33.04%,P0.05).The cure rate for mild,moderate,and severe amblyopia was 73.33%(66/90),21.15%(22/104),and 0(0/26),respectively,with significant difference(P0.05).The early visual acuity was improved significantly in the hospital intensive treatment group,but the improvement diminished with time.Conclusion The early hospital intensive treatment can improve the treatment compliance and early curative effect for children amblyopia.But the treatment shoud be gradually changed to home treatment.
