On Developing Higher Vocational Students' English practical Competence——Practical Research on Teaching Reform in English Intensive Reading Course

The aim of higher vocational English education is to develop the students' practical communicative competence in using English.In the light of the author's years of experiences of the teaching reform in English intensive reading course,this paper attempts to take up a research into the development of higher vocational college students'English practical competence through a series of active discussions on teaching concepts,teaching aims,contents of courses and teaching approaches in English intensive reading course for the purpose of enhancing higher vocational college students'English practical competence.
