Abstract
Objective To study the effect of compound Liuyueqing(CLYQ) on serological indexes in hepatic fibrosis rats. Methods Hepatic fibrosis model of Sprague-Dawley rats were induced by CCl4.The serum superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),hydroxyproline(Hyp),hyaluronic acid(HA),and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1) were detected with enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay(ELISA).Results Compared with the model control group, the activity of SOD in the serum was increased significantly in all CLYQ groups(P 0.01) and the serological SOD activity was 142.59 ± 9.80 U /mL in the high dose CLYQ group. The contents of MDA,Hyp,HA and TIMP-1 in the ser-um decreased significantly in all CLYQ groups(P 0.01 or P 0.05).The serological MDA,Hyp,HA and TIMP-1 con-tents was 2.28 ± 0.43nmol/mL,6.53 ± 0.77 μg /mL,111.16 ± 23.89ng /mL,and 2 180.69 ± 278.02 pg /mL in the high dose CLYQ group, respectively, with dose-effect relationship. Conclusion CLYQ can suppress lipid peroxidation and re-duce the collagen synthesis.Hence CLYQ has obvious anti-hepatic fibrosis effect.
