Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the hyper states of coagulation in Ulcerative Colitis(UC)by comparing activations of coagula-tion-fibrinolysis system in patients with active UC.Methods:Twenty patients with active UC were studied, 20 patients with inactive UC served as controls. We investigated the activation of the coagulation-fibrinolysis system, including platelet counts, activated partial throm-boplastin time(APTT), thrombin time(TT), prothrombin time(PT), activated factors Ⅻ ,Ⅺ ,Ⅹ ,Ⅸ ,Ⅷ ,Ⅶ ,Ⅴ,Ⅱ , fibrinogen and D-Dimer.Results:Activated factors Ⅺ,Ⅹ,Ⅸ,Ⅷ,Ⅴ,Ⅱ and fibrinogen, D-Dimer were significantly elevated in patients with active UC compared to those in patients with inactive UC.There was no significant difference between the two groups in the other indexes.Con-clusion:The results of this study indicated that the coagulation-fibrinolysis system was activated in patients with active bowel inflamma-tion such as active UC, which points out enteritis can activate coagulation-fibrinolysis system.
