Ecological compensation theoretical frame construction of farmland through the perspective of land utilization

Based on ecological compensation,the relationships between evolution of farmland eco-environmental quality and land use behavior were analyzed through the perspective of land utilization.Also,driving factors and source of the quality variation were found;the concept of farmland ecological compensation was preliminarily defined and its basic connotation was illustrated as well.The structural framework of farmland ecological compensation was improved from four aspects: principles of compensation,subject and object of compensation,compensation criteria and compensation modes.Meanwhile,the system of farmland ecological compensation was set up through the perspective of land utilization,for one,the loss of farmland eco-environmental quality caused by economic development was measured according to the relationship between level of regional economic development and value of farmland ecosystem services;for another,carrying capacity of regional environment was measured by the method of ecological footprint of regional farmland.This provides the possibility to quantify farmland ecological compensation.
