A Study of Strategies for Medical Tourism Development in Hainan

Given its new emergence,high value-addedness and strong relevance,medical tourism has become one of the fastest-growing industries with largest economic benefits in the world,so many countries and regions have considered it a tourism project to be sudsidized and developed.This paper expounds the significance of medical tourism development in Hainan and profoundly analyzes its advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges with the SWOT analysis.Moreover,some strategies are also proposed in terms of the government support,international identification,international cooperation,product research and development,promotion,personnel training,etc.which can provide reference for the development of medical tourism in Hainan.
