Abstract
Effects of exogenous application of salicylic acid(SA) on the antioxidant system of lily plants(Lilium longiflorum cv.'Reizah 1')under high temperature stress(47 ℃ for 24 h) were studied. The results showed that the mortality, relative electrical conductivity and MDA content of plants pretreated with 0.5 mmol/L SA were lower than the control. These were concomitant with higher activities of SOD,POD,GR and content of GSH.In contrast, the CAT activity and AsA content,as well as APX activity decreased 3 hours after exposure to high temperature stress. The result suggests that pretreatment with SA may increase the heat tolerance of lily by enhancing the activities of antioxidant systems.
