Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the clinical application value of three-dimensional(3D) ultrasonography in gallbladder diseases. Methods: Forty-nine patients with gallbladder stones, papillary lesions of gallbladder, gallbladder cancer and gallbladder adenomuscular hyperplasia underwent three-dimensional ultrasonographic reconstruction. Results: ①3D ultrasonography can clearly demonstrate the spatial location and morphologic characteristic, especially the size of fundus and the presence of pedicle. ②3D ultrasonography can clearly demonstrate the extent of gallbladder cancer, the continuance of wall and infiltration to peripheral structures. ③3D ultrasonography can clearly demonstrate the numbers and shapes of stones. ④3D ultrasonography can clearly demonstrate the extent of gallbladder adeno-muscular hyperplasia. Conclusions: 3D ultrasonography can objectively demonstrate the morphologic characteristic of gallbladder and its relationship to peripheral structures, it can provide more information than the two-dimensional ultrasonography for diagnosis and treatment.
