The Influence of Nursing Intervention on Perioperative Constipation of Patients with Intracranial Tumors

Objective:To observe the effect of nursing intervention on perioperative constipation of patients with intracranial tumors,and discuss the effective method to maintain defecate unobstructed.Methods:One hundred and twenty-eight perioperative patients with intracranial tumors were randomly assigned into the intervention group and control group.Nursing intervention measures of preventing constipation were put to use in the intervention group.The control group were treated with routine nursing method.The differences of nursing intervention between two groups were evaluated and the reasons of constipation in both group were observed and analyzed.Results:Constipation occurred in 18 cases in intervention group and 30 cases in control group.Nursing intervention could help patients maintain defecate unobstructed in view of the causes of constipation in patients with brain tumors after surgery.Conclusion:Constipation tends to occur in postoperative patients with brain tumors.Nursing intervention can prevent constipation,thus to reduce intracranial pressure and decrease serious complications.
